Part of the solution to South Florida's homeless problem is simple: Send them to Utah. |

Or New York, or California, or any place. Anyplace, in the continental United States, where a friend or family member certifiably promises to provide housing and a full-time job. In short , the opportunity to recreate their entire life. (What good would it do to send a homeless person somewhere else, only to be homeless there, too?) But, that is just the beginning. |
The difficult part is physically getting them from Point-A (being one of the 6000+ homeless people roaming the streets of Broward county) to Point-B (that miles-away doorstep leading to their personal restoration.). Yet, that is exactly what we've done for hundreds, since August of 1995.
Based on the realization that homeless people have a better chance of making a new start for themselves surrounded by loved ones, our HOMEWARD BOUND program has provided several hundred people with all the long distance phone calls, travel tickets, clothing, and traveling-money necessary to make that all important trip to a positive new beginning.
Understandably it takes a great deal of money to run this program. But, we think it's worth every cent. After all, how can you put a price tag on a human life - especially one with a new respect for being alive?
Now, this is where you can help. For a tax-deductible donation of $150., you or your group can make it possible for us to provide a new start for one more deserving person. (Many of our contributors find this a convenient way of handling interoffice gift-giving and personal remembrances.)
