 Love Thy Neighbor Fund
is a series of success stories.

Meet Robert, a truly remarkable young man.
By the time he was 5-years old, he had been physically, mentally, and sexually abused by his parents. His mother poured boiling hot water on him, permanently scarring his left arm. He was beaten into a coma twice, which made him somewhat of a slow learner.

For the next 20-years, he was placed in and out of foster homes and institutions.

In all that time, his care-givers and instructors never taught him to read and write beyond a minimal preschool level.

When he was finally considered too old for those programs, he was heartlessly turned out onto the street to fend for himself. He was beaten, robbed, and further abused.

When he ended up at tent city, Love Thy Neighbor volunteers found him, got him off the street and into an apartment of his very own, helped him find a job, and even arranged schooling with Nova Southeastern's highly acclaimed University School which set up a private tutoring program him.

He is a loyal Love Thy Neighbor volunteer, regularly donating his personal belongings -- sometimes literally the shirt and jacket off his back -- offering heartfelt advice, to help others. On the first anniversary of his "new life" he hand wrote the following note:

Better than anything, that sums up what LOVE THY NEIGHBOR FUND, INC. is all about. And, that is: solving even the most difficult problem, for homeless people, one at a time.
